  • B.Tech First Semester results publishedThe provisional results of first semester B.Tech Degree Examination held in January 2016 is published in https://ktu.edu.in/eu/res/viewResults.htm
    The students who desire to have their answer scripts revalued may register for the same in the KTU portal by paying the requisite fee in the College Office, from 26- 2-16 to 10-3-16.

  • B.Tech S2 Results PublishedIt is here by notified that the result of Second Semester B.Tech Degree examinations coducted during May/June 2016 is published.Candidates who desire to appear for S2 supplementary examinations are directed to register for the same in the KTU portal from 27.06.2016 to 28.06.2016 by paying the requisite fee in the College office.
    Candidates who desire to register for re-valuation of answerscripts are directed to register for the the same in the KTU portal from 08.07.2016 to 15.07.2016 by paying the requisite fee in the College office. All answer scripts with marks scored between 30 and 45% are already revalued by the Chief Examiner.

Academic-B.Tech programme-Modified course planThe Curriculum Committee reviewed the syllabus and modified the course plan of S4 B.Tech programme by deleting and / or clarifying coverage of certain topics and submitted the modified course plan for 4 th semester B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering, CS 208 and CS 232; ME 202 of Mechanical Engineering; EC 202, EC 204, EC 206 and EC 208 of Electronics & Communication Engineering and CE 202, CE 204,CE 206 and CE 208 of B.Tech Civil Engineering.The modified course plan with reduced content will be effective from 04.03.2017.It may be noted that there are no changes in the Syllabus and Question paper pattern.

Cumulative distribution function.Mean and Variance of Discrete Probability Distribution. Binomial Distribution-Mean and variance. Poisson Approximation to the Binomial Distribution. Poisson distribution-Mean and variance.

Module 2

KTU STUDENT RE-EXAM REGISTRATION HELP

KTU STUDENT RE-EXAM REGISTRATION HELP


Re-exam registration is allowed only for exam courses where KTU has announced re-exam on a
different date. Only the students who have registered for the original exam can register for re-exam.
Re-exam registration can be done from the student login. Student registrations can be added or
modified from the college side also. Final submission for all the branches needs to be done by the
college finally.
Procedure To Be Followed From Student side
1.Login to KTU e-Governance portal. Choose Academic Year.Re-Exam Registration Date tab
with Register button can be seen. Click on Register button.


2.A screen as shown below will be seen.Click on Apply for Re-Exam against the corresponding
course.
3.A confirmation pop-up window will appear asking 'Are you sure to apply for re-exam for this
course'. Click on Yes if you are sure you want to continue.

4.You can cancel Re-Exam registration by clicking on Cancel Re-Exam tab.A confirmation pop-up
window will appear same as the one appeared when applying for Re-Exam.

5.Finally Click on Submit.


Procedure To Be Followed From College side


1.Login to KTU e-gov Portal.
2.A Register tab will be available near the corresponding exam definition to register for Re-Exam


3.Click on Register to register any student for Re-Exam.A screen as shown below will appear.
In order to select any student, give either name or register number of the student in the
corresponding column named Student.



4. Check if all the branches have submitted their Re-Exam Registration and click Submit for final
submission.
5. Registered students with the corresponding courses for which they have applied can be viewed by
clicking on Registered Students. List can be Exported if needed, by clicking on Export button.

About minimum credits to earn


Eligibility to Continue
A student has to earn a minimum number of credits in a semester to be eligible to register for the new courses offered in the next semester. In odd semesters if this requirement is not met, the student is to be forewarned and allowed to continue to the next even semester. However at the end of even semesters this requirement will be strictly implemented. Summer courses are offered to those who do not satisfy this norm after the 2nd as well as the 4th semesters. Students who do not meet this requirement are not permitted to register for new courses in the higher semesters. They have to register for the failed courses in normal semesters in which they are offered subject to the limitations imposed by the ordinances and course timetable.
Action plan, for dealing with course arrears in theory courses at the end of each semester to continue with the programme, is given below. Faculty advisors shall monitor advice and support the students in this. Students should be informed about the minimum cumulative credits requirement to register for higher semester courses.
